Welcome

Welcome to the Education Standards of the Kingdom of Kaldus. First, let’s address the fact that I am far from an expert in education. I have spent way more years out of education then I had in. My higher education experience was sub-par at best, and due to my health, I had problems with going through grade school. With that said, my experience has been not so good. However, I still feel that we as a whole should have the world’s best education system – period. Since I don’t have access to experts, I can’t create a clear and precise policy, but there are some things I feel that should be standard. First, we should have school all year round, and limit the week+ long vacations. This isn’t how the real world works, and we should prepare our children early on to how the real world works. If they learn that from the start, then they will do better – it is just that simple.

I also believe that we need to focus on STEM from the very early of age. Now, I am not suggesting teaching calculus at 4th grade, but I know we need to do more so we can compete on not only a national level, but on a global level. If you were to look at the demographic assumed in the home page of the Kingdom of Kaldus, you would see that it is an average size country that I am imagining on. I am sure much larger countries will have a harder time to make a successful national standard in education.

There are 4 types of schools. A student does not have to go through them all, but they will need to go through at least grade school. Additional education will be at the complete discretion of the person considering higher education. Therefore, grade school is mandatory, and there will be opportunity to get a trade school level of education so the student will not have to go to higher education if they plan their schooling well.
